Gatherings

A few recurring spaces I host for play, companionship, creativity, and conversation.

These gatherings are small, gentle, and intentionally human. Some are playful. Some are quiet. Some are simply places to be around other people for a little while.

There is no need to arrive polished, productive, or especially social.

You are welcome to come as you are.

Game Time

A playful hour for Jackbox, laughter, and low-pressure fun.

We gather online to play games that are silly, social, and easy to join. You do not need to be good at games, quick with answers, or comfortable being the center of attention.

Come to laugh, observe, answer badly, surprise yourself, or simply spend time with other people.

How it works

  • We meet online. The Zoom link and current game details live in the member calendar event.
  • Voice is encouraged for shared play. Video is welcome and optional.
  • You join using your own device. Most Jackbox games let you play from a phone, tablet, or browser without needing to own the game yourself.
  • You can participate at your own pace. Some rounds may be loud and ridiculous. Others may be quieter. You are welcome to skip a round, watch for a while, or step away when you need to.
  • There is no pressure to perform. You do not have to be clever, funny, competitive, or fast. The point is shared play, not winning.

Game Time is meant to add a little playfulness to the beginning of the week.

Designed for fun, not performance.

How to Join

Tuesdays · 7:00 - 8:00 PM PT

Hobby Time

A relaxed space to unwind, share presence, and do what you love midweek.

Bring any quiet, hands-on hobby - coloring, crafting, journaling, knitting, organizing, digital design, scrapbooking, or whatever helps you exhale.

There are no instructions and no showcase. It is simply an open table where everyone works on their own thing while conversation flows naturally.

How it works

  • We meet online. Voice is encouraged for connection. Video is welcome and optional.
  • You start as you join. Settle in, open your supplies, and begin whenever you are ready. Hands can stay busy while we chat.
  • We talk as we create. As everyone gets started, we usually do a brief round of introductions: your name, what you are working on, or what you hope to begin.
  • We check in near the end. You are welcome to share what you made, what you worked on, or simply how it felt to spend the time together. There is no critique - only encouragement and appreciation.
  • You may keep going. The gathering may end, but your creative flow does not have to.

Hobby Time is meant to fit easily into your week—a small, cozy anchor to keep your hobbies alive and your connections warm.

Designed for community, not performance.

However your week is going, there is space for you to simply be. No one is expected to finish, do well, or accomplish anything. We celebrate intention, not outcome.

Connection Time

A gentle space to unwind, share presence, and connect midweek.

Join as you are - quiet, curious, or simply needing to be around other people for a little while.

There is nothing to bring and nothing to prepare. No activity, no task, and no requirement to do anything. This is simply an open room to be together.

Conversation may happen. Silence may happen. Both are welcome.

How it works

  • We meet online. Voice and video can help us feel together—not formal video or curated backgrounds, just you in your own space. You may keep your camera off when you need to.
  • We connect as people join. Settle in, get comfortable, and arrive at your own pace. There is no pressure to speak right away. Listening counts as participation.
  • We connect through presence. After we have had a little time to settle in, we usually begin with a brief round of introductions. You may share your name, preferred pronouns, and how you are arriving that day. From there, conversation unfolds naturally.
  • You choose your level of participation. You are free to talk, listen, or step back at any time. There is no obligation to fill space or carry the conversation.

When the gathering ends, you are welcome to carry the feeling of connection gently back into your evening.

This hour is meant to fit easily into your week - a calm, human pause to reconnect.

Designed for connection.

There is nothing to prove, share, or accomplish here. We value presence over performance and honesty over energy.

How to Join

Joining details live inside Gatherings with Harshini, a quiet Google Group used for the welcome guide, shared calendar, schedule updates, and Zoom access.

  • request to join the Gatherings group
  • read the pinned welcome guide
  • open the shared member calendar
  • use the current calendar event to join on Zoom

Most gatherings are held on Zoom. Game Time will also use Jackbox or another browser-based game platform in addition to Zoom.

The Zoom link is not posted publicly. The waiting room remains on so that I can admit people into the gathering.

The Google Group is not another online community you need to keep up with. It is simply the place where the practical details live.

A Gentle Note

You are welcome to join quietly, arrive late, leave early, keep your camera off when video is optional, listen more than you speak, or step away and return.

You do not need to explain your body, energy, access needs, or level of participation.

Bring yourself as you are.

That is already enough.

Come for play, quiet company, conversation, or simply the relief of being around other people for a while.

You are welcome here.
